Muck Petzet Architects emerged in 2003 from the division of Meier-Scupin & Petzet Architects (founded in 1993). Muck Petzet is the owner and CEO of the office with locations in Munich and Berlin and a workforce of about 30 architects, engineers, and administrators. In the 27 years of his independence, Muck Petzet has worked on around 300 projects of various sizes and tasks, 75 of which were also realized structurally. His work has been published nationally and internationally and has received awards - including the best architects award, the German Builder Award, the German and European Urban Development Award, and the urban habitat award. In 2020 Muck Petzet was a finalist of the EU mies award19 together with Brandlhuber +.

With his commitment to sustainability research - and his work as a curator, author, and 'propagandist' for a new understanding of the existing as a resource, Muck Petzet moves beyond the boundaries of his discipline. The catalog of works also includes exhibitions, films, or the development of an evaluation system for conversions. In 2012 Muck Petzet was General Commissioner of the German Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale. Since 2014 Muck Petzet has been teaching as a professor for sustainable design at the Accademia di architettura / USI in Mendrisio.
