The first German flagship store for Jil Sander was opened in Munich based on a store concept by Gabellini Associates, NY. In order to create large, clear spaces the interior of the historic building was completely gutted across two storeys. Open space and a curved staircase connect the showrooms of the ground floor with the first floor. The minimalist store design stands out through the high quality materials with a perfect finish that are nonetheless modest and in harmony with each other. The garments are displayed in niches with diffuse lighting, or on specially designed fixtures of nickel silver.

Several flagship stores and franchise stores have been realized by MSP (Berlin, Hamburg, Milan, Zurich, St. Moritz). MSP (Meier-Scupin & Petzet Architekten) was also responsible for setting up a central sourcing system for furniture, lighting systems, and certain key materials for Jil Sander stores around the globe.
