The 64ha site for the Infineon campus fits seamlessly into the existing topography. The low building sections with their garden roofs extend like fingers organically from the protective barrier of the A8 motorway into the park landscape, which is bounded by an urban railway line. The architectural project tends to become invisible and seems to vanish into the landscape. In this regard, the project behaves similarly to technology, which itself is becoming more and more subtle and invisible as it mimics and integrates with nature. In contrast to the past, nature and technology are no longer antithetical, but complement each other. Thus, the architectural project puts emphasis on the integration (societal) and fluency (technological) of the company. The architecture does not try to represent of the power of the company, but rather the subtlety and intelligence of its integration and flexibility. Fusion and hybridisation of technology are visually realised in the hybridisation of the architecture. This is a new type of architecture that allows for the merging of ergonomic, organic and rational elements.
