A maximum of affordable living space needs to be fitted into a narrow urban framework, flexible in its use and modular in its construction. Our answer is a system of radically reduced units that can be interconnected in different ways. The reduction of the individual apartments and their modest standards are made possible by maximizing the size and value of communal areas, like a luxurious roof garden, a house café and a washroom. The same goes for the shared external access zone, which includes a staircase of grandiose dimensions, a catwalk, adventure, meeting point.

Inside the building, simplicity and robustness are well thought-out to enable development, flexibility and multiple uses. No complex building services, instead thermostats that notice when the windows are open and then turn down the heat. Optimally connected and hybrid in use, the building stimulates a reduction in commuting: Living and working merge.
